RFQ Details

inquiry / specifications for a steel structure ( Sheds - 2 nos) required for a power plant in India.

The details are as below.

Approx height will be 30m (+/-2m). length 355m - 2 nos


Data for design are as under.

1.Project location

Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited has planned to establish 2 x 800 MW Supercritical Coal Based Uppur Thermal Power Project which
is about 3 KM from Thiruppalaikudi railway station in Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu, India. For the proposed plant, the total extent of land available for the
plant 900 acres, which is completely in the possession of TANGEDCO. It is proposed to install 2 x 800 MW in this land. The proposed site is located about 140 KM from Madurai Airport. and about 550 KM south of Chennai city. The nearest sea port is Tuticorin which is about 130 KM away from the proposed site

2.Seismic zone The project site is in Zone – II as per IS: 1893/Part I-2003 & IS:1893 – Part II – 2005.

3.Dead load As per IS 875

4.Live load IS 875

5.Collateral load Consider for illumination fixture and extractor load

6.Wind speed Basic wind speed at project site is 47 m/sec. as per IS:875 -1987 Part-3
Probability factor,(k1 risk coefficient), terrain, height and structure size factor, k2 and topography factor, k3 shall be as per IS:875.
