As you may already know, India is currently a large importer and consumer of Apples. Due to unexplored avenues of marketing, there have been sluggish consumption rates since the past few years. We, at Satish Trading Co., are currently exploring new marketing and distribution opportunities and are interested in importing your high quality Washington Apples.

Faster income growth in India has contributed to a declining poverty rate and the emergence of a burgeoning middle- and upper-middle class consisting of more than 250 million consumers, including about 60 million living in the eight largest cities (Goldammer). This growing class of consumers has sufficient income to diversify and improve the quality of their diet. Moreover, with continued high income growth, there is also a maturing high-income segment of the population with the economic means and desire to purchase high-value and processed foods.

I have just returned to India after studying Finance and Entrepreneurship at The Kelley School of Business, Indiana University and have chosen to diversify my existing family business through this channel.
