BIPV is the abbreviation of Building Integrated Photovoltaic system. It is a new concept of converting solar energy into electricity by integrating solar cell into building envelope. The form and characteristics of BIPV:
1. Install photovoltaic systems on building surfaces, place the completed set of solar cells (flat or curve shaped) on the building roof and connecting with the peripheral system (inverter, battery, control panels, etc. ).
2. Integrating photovoltaic systems into building elements, such as roof or facade systems. Peripheral can be a function of the roof, facade or windows, therefore becoming photovoltaic components and building elements, a full use of energy and materials.
