4.1 RAW WATER MOTOR � PUMP SET (ITEM 001)
The Employer intends to replace the existing equipment by the following;
� Pumps: Q = *³/*@********************� Self Priming
� Motor: 15 H.P.

The motor pump set shall be a self priming, single-stage centrifugal pump for the pumping of raw (River Nile) water.

Intake / raw water pumps for surface water duty shall be designed for pumping raw water with a high silt content, to be capable of passing 7.5 mm diameter solids and to avoid possible choking by weeds or other tough sinuous material.

Pump and 3-phase AC motor shall be mounted as separate units on a common base plate and be connected via a flexible coupling with ratings and according to EN 733.
The impeller shall be hydraulically as well as dynamically balanced.
The Pump Motor set shall be suitable to fulfill following conditions as a minimum:

Liquid temperature range: 0 .. 60 °C
