Technical specifications

It is planned to purchase a set of equipment to produce continuously cast billets made of carbon steel grades, medium-alloyed steel grades with nominal diameter 30-120 mm, which will be used as a raw material for steel rolled grinding balls with the same diameters. The equipment will be installed in the existing production cycle. Placing of equipment: Ukraine, Kharkiv region, village Komsomolskoe, Balakleevskoe Highway 30.

2. Requirements for the equipment
2.1 Line capacity - 50 thousand tons per year of continuously cast steel billets;
2.2 Quantity of of strand-1
2.3 Casted alloys grades - steel 65, 65G, 70, 70G (GOST 14959-79);
2.4 Characteristics for installation place: length - 60 m, width - 18 m, height to crane ways - 7 m;
2.5 A complete set of technical documentation (assembly and installation drawings);
2.6 Warranty period of service - 24 months or 50, 000 tons of continuously cast steel billets;

3. Technical requirements of equipment for conticast billet
According to the requirements of DSTU 3-009-2000 (Round billets from carbon, low-alloyed and alloyed steel).
3.1. Main parameters and dimensions
3.1.1. Billet is made of diameter 30-120mm. Limit deviations of the diameter are to conform the ones specified according to DSTU 3-009-2000
3.1.2 Produced billet with diameters of 30-100mm in rods from 4m to 6m long, preset length PL; produced billet with diameters 120mm in rods 3, 5m, 7 m, 10.5 m long, multiple preset length MPL.
3.1.3 Limit deviations of the length should not exceed 100 mm.
3.1.4 Billet bending should not exceed 0, 5% of length.
3.1.5 Ovality of the billet should not exceed 75% of the sum of limit deviations of the diameter. 3.1.6 Billet ends must be cut avoiding contortion. Obliquity of the cut should not exceed 10% of diameter. Ends are allowed to be flame-cut.
Reduction ratio has to be 4 - 4.5.
