Procedures for Non LME Copper Cathodes Purchase
1) Sale is on DDU warehouse Durban basis (incoterms 2012 apply). Sale on DDU Bridge Shipping Group warehouse in Durban is only acceptable.
2) Ownership of the goods passes from seller to buyer on payment
3) Copper must not be LME registered.
4) Specs will conform to the following.
Cu 99.99 (99.96% min)
Se 0.0002% max
Te 0.0002% max
Bi 0.0002% max
Sb 0.0004% max
As 0.0005% max
Pb 0.0005% max
S 0.0015% max
Fe 0.0010% max
Ag 0.0025% max
P 0.0010% max
Sn 0.0020% max
Zn 0.0020% max
5) Payment will be within 7 days of presentation of the following documents
a. Commercial invoice, clearly showing the 7 quotations
b. Warehouse Certificates/Receipts
c. Certificate of Quality issued by mutually agreed inspection agency (at sellers cost)
d. Certificate of Quantity issued by mutually agreed inspection agency (at sellers cost)
e. Inspectors report on packing and dimensions
f. Certificate of Origin
6) Taxes and Duties: The Seller shall be responsible for any taxes and duties, bringing the product into a bonded warehouse Durban. The buyer will be responsible for any tax and duties after ownership transfers.
7) Pricing period will be the 7 quotations, quotation 1 will be 24 hours after the results from independent surveyor verifies quality and quantity. As your price = (1)7 consecutive days average of LME Cash Buyers Price x weight of the right quality
8) Please can you send through the sheet dimensions, this is critical in order for me to determine who I should sell them too?
9) Trial shipment will be 200MT and then slowly the volume can be increased. We are looking at 1000MT - 2000MT/month in 6 - 12 months time. Because the Cathodes have to be first tested for their quality in the factory conditions of our buyers.
