Sagnem Meat Company is a Botswana based company that source meat from a companies that have developed expert services in cutting and processing meat with modern facilities and machinery that meet all hygiene requirements set by the local veterinary services. The abattoirs are certified to the ISO 9002 quality system throughout its process, which guarantees the production of quality beef. The abattoirs are committed to maintaining the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 standard in order to produce meat products and by-products of consistent quality and legality which meet statutory, regulatory and customer requirements.

To ensure food safety, the abattoirs have implemented and will continue to maintain a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system that conforms to requirements of South African National Global Standard (SANS) 10330:2007 and British Consortium (BRC) Global Standard for food safety (Issue 6, 2011).
The abattoirs specialise in the production of free-range beef. Their cattle enjoy naturally occurring grasses, other plants and water. The free range method allows their cattle to enjoy a stress free lifestyle which in turn yields high quality categories of beef. That they specialise in free-range beef is because the abattoir’s mission is to bring high-quality Botswana meat to consumers worldwide. To achieve this goal, the abattoirs have implemented international standards for its meat, including ISO 9001, Halal certification, and the British Retail Consortium Standard. This particular abattoir is the biggest and most highly ranked producer of beef in Africa.
