Hi, We are manufacturing cables for grain storage facilities so we need to purchase some granules for the extrusion process: Granules material: PVC (Polyvinyl chloride) or PE (Polyethylene) or if suitable for extruding cables PA (Polyamide) Mandatory specifications needed of eX certification (explosive areas) - Surface Resistivity < 10^9 Ohm (anti static / dissipative) Important commercial specs, but not mandatory: - Food grade use - Rodent repellent (mice, rat etc) - Ultraviolet UV resistant Physical properties: - Hardness: the higher possible, the better; this should not be affected that much in the temperature range (eg to crack if the temperature is low or to become soft when the temperature is high) - Surface: smooth (not porous) in order to have a very low friction coefficient with the grains - Temperature range: ideally -45 -> +85 degrees C, might be ok: -20 -> +85 degrees C (in some countries like India/Africa, there are very high temperatures, and in northers countries low ones) - Tensile strength and elongation: these cables will be used inside silos, and the grains are pulling it with high force (eg 1t tensile force for a 30m length), so for this we need a very slippery surface to reduce the friction coefficient and the cover of the cable should not break, nor to elongate Below you can find some specs for the products that we used in the past (we're not happy with all the product overall, just for ): Density at 23C g/cm 1,34 0.02 1,338 Hardness at 23 C at 15 sec .Sh A 92 +/-3 93 Tensile strength at break at 23C 50 mm/min MPa > 17 17,41 Elongation at yield at 23C 50 mm/min % > 200 257 Initially we need to receive a sample of 25-100 Kg in order to validate in the laboratory that we're passing the mandatory antistatic characteristic, and for this we also need from your side 2 x 200/200/2 mm boards/plates extruded from this material for Surface Resistivity testing purposes. If we pass the test for the certification, we're looking for a long term partnership with you, so you can expect orders from our side. Last year we purchased 5t for testing and prototyping purposes and we're estimating to purchase 10-30t in 2022, 100-150t in 2023. Please let us know if you can provide us with a suitable product, an estimated price range for the initial sample, for the estimated 2022 needed quantity and an estimated lead time for delivery after each order will be processed (we'll not buy the entire quantity at the same time).
