I need MANY MANY plastic mesh scourers

How can I obtain hundreds of plastic mesh scourers that will cover 32.5 square feet in a hexagonal pattern for my next prototype design? I know this is not a simple straight forward request. But before I know whether my design intentions will provide the benefits I am looking for, I need to construct my first prototype. I cannot purchase individual pieces because it would be prohibitively expensive for prototype development. So how can I get these first hundred plus pieces for inventing my "thing"?

Once proof of concept has been demonstrated, and market research completed, I could need hundreds, or thousands, or even more for production.
