Buyer Information

RFQ Details

Resilient seated Ductile Iron Gate valves as per IS:14846 for
purified drinking water. The material constructions of body bonnet
of resistant brass with fully encapsulated by vulcanized EPDM
chlorine resistant rubber.
DN500 mm 6 PCS.

Under this item the agency has to supply the Ductile iron resilient
seated gland less, pocketless, 100% tight shut of gate
valve having following technical requirement.
1) The valves shall be designed & manufactured according to
standard of BS:5163-86 type-B. The same shall be conforming
to IS:14846-2000 PD.
2) Face to face dimension is according to standard IS:14846-
2000 PD.
3) The flange of the gate valve shall be according to IS:1538-
93 (Table 6) & IS:4504.
4) Housing, Bonnet, Body & wedge in duclite iron giving excellent
strength.
5) Wedge shall be fully encapsulate with EPDM or Nitrite resulting
in no corrosion & giving 100% tight closure.
6) The valve shall bear full clear bore for minimization of
head loss.
7) Bottom shall be straight for unobstraution water way.
8) The valve shall be provided with Housing 'O' ring sealing
system.
9) Valves shall be of Zero leakage & with low operating torque
for a lifetime.
10) The valve bonnet shall be fixed to body with undersuck
bolts.
11) All the valves ductile iron components shall be coated with
epoxy powder electro statically to the pre heated ductile
iron components.
12) The valve shall be sustainable to 1 PN & shall be for easy
maintenance.
13) The external valve components such as fasteness etc shall be
corrosion resistant & shall be of SS 316.
14) The flange drilling STD & dimension shall confirm to IS:1538
15) Duclite iron shall be of Grade GGG 40/SG-400/12 or equivalent
grade as per IS:3896 Part 2 1985.
