RFQ Details

"our client who caters directly to some major Entertainment studios is releasing (4) movie titles on DVD and are looking to dress them up in jackets that are designed so as to mimic the dress of certain main characters in the respective movies. The order qty. per title would be 150,000 pcs. each, so 150,000 x 4 titles = 600,000 slip covers total.

our client had a design agency put together the attached renderings of what the 4 jackets would look like.
The movies that they correspond to are
1) Saturday Night Fever
2) Bad News Bears
3) Top Gun
4) Flashdance

The designs are quite involved since they are to replicate the actual jackets worn by a main character in the movie, so they have to look as realistic as possible, down to every detail.

These jackets/slipcovers (fyi the size of a DVD Amaray case is 137mm wide x 190mm tall x 14mm spine width).

The details that accompany the (4) renderings are quite explicit, so all the information regarding material selection and design should be spelled out. However, is it possible to base a quotation on these specs, or would you need to actually make some prototypes based on the supplied specs in order to furnish quotations? If we need to make prototypes, how long would it take and what would be the cost?
