RFQ Details

Need a coextruded glass filled (low cost, maybe even recycled material) polypropylene (10-20% vs. 30-40%) with a thin layer of polymethylmethacrylate for application requirements. The thin layer of polymethylmethacrylate is for added resistance.
We also need to define the seam assembly process for the polymers with heat, since both materials have a low heat resistance (possibility of melting them at 170 degrees celcius - 190 degrees celcius depending on the exposure time and load applied). We will need to be able to utilize the simplest, least expensive processing technique possible for a job-site application. The sheets will be seam fabricated on the job-site in some custom construction applications. The sheets must be assembled together for a strong, impervious unified structure in custom shapes providing adequate strength to house several gallons of water in an underground application. After consideration of the limits of structural stability properties of 10-20% glass filled polypropylene vs. 30-40% glass-filled polypropylene we would be interested in the supplier's recommendations for the proper composite thickness?
Please provide a quote on sheets of each of these polymers, both coextruded and individually. We ask that you provide some samples of each of them for testing purposes for our application. We also ask that you might offer some technical recommendations (proper fusion method to include optimal temperatures for the process and appropriate method for custom cutting of the sheets) for the processing of the composites and be able to suggest possible equipment for the assembly process. Please also offer a list of colors that are available in these products.

We look forward to refining this product application and to the development of an ongoing relationship with your company.
