RFQ Details

Dear Sirs:
We are looking for a scale manufacturer to develop and manufacture for us a specialized type of electronic scale according to the following specifications:

-The purpose of the scale is to put a tank with a liquid in to monitorize the remaining (absolute) amount of liquid, average daily consumption, and number of days of average consumption left. It's something similar to the information provided for a car's trip computer (changing Km to Kg, of course)
-Shape/size: round (square) /about 32-35 cm diameter (side)
-Material: plastic, metal or any other material that can be suitable (and not expensive).
-Range: any value between 30-50 Kg should be appropriate.
-Precision: 0.1 Kg should be enough (better 0.05 Kg)
-Power: LR6-LR3 batteries preferable; others will be valid too.
-"Auto off" function to save batteries with "on" button
-"Reset" button to clear stored data
-"Auto reset" function (switchable on/of) every time the tank is changed (weigh=0 ->tank off ->auto reset if function swith on)
-5 and 2 days of 'average daily consumption left' visual alarm (LEDs or any other indicators)

My question is about the cost to develop (or adapt any other existing model, if possible) and made 1.000 pcs. (One thousand pieces) of that scale. It would be a first order of several more

Some specifications are flexible and can be modified (some even eliminated). within a range in order to adjust cost, suggestions will be welcome.

It's important to say I understand that at this stage it will be very preliminary-not contractual information and I assume that the price can vary until specifications definitively fixed.
