RFQ Details

Tiny Winch: We are looking for a small, portable lifting device. Small (2 X 3 inch base (50x76mm) or smaller), light weight enough for hiker to willingly carry in a back pack (2 to 3 lbs (around 1Kg), hand device to lift 400 lbs (160kg) 25 feet (8M) using 6mm poly rope.

See example images of winches we are CURRENTLY USING. They are too big and heavy. We need a device 1/2 their size and weight.

We prefer the RATCHET WINCH with ADJUSTABLE CRANK if it can be scaled smaller and lighter and still easily lift 160kg.

We prefer an existing winch with proven abilities but will consider building to our needs if necessary. Please give me a rough estimate of the initial cost for this. You may be able to use some existing components and shrink others. Changing reel, base and handle to structural aluminum should reduce the weight. Gears, ratchet and pawl should probably remain steel?

If Sample works for our product requirements, we will start with promotional quantity of 100, then 1000/month during production.
