Heat exchanger R410A/heating circuit water which may contain glycol for air to water heat pump

1. Fluids

Frigorific fluid: R410A. Maximum condensing temperature = 55°C. Testing pressure = 50 bars.

Heated fluid: heating circuit water (closed circuit). Maximum service pressure = 3 bars.

Cleared water should be considered in all calculations (not water containing glycol).

The water can contain 5% to 50% propylene glycol.

3. Pressure drop

Pressure drop on water side should not exceed 25kPa in heating mode.

4. Dimension

In case of brazing plates heat exchanger, the size should not exceed:

- length: 400 mm

- width: 150 mm

- depth: depend on number of plates

In case of any other heat exchanger technology, no restriction on heat exchanger dimensions is given.

5. Condensing/evaporating temperatures measurement

The heat exchanger should be equipped with a condensing/evaporating temperature measurement device.
